Jill Barrella

Meet Jill, a dedicated fitness enthusiast with a passion for Les Mills programs. Certified in Les Mills BodyCombat since 2017, Jill pursued advanced training in 2019 to further enhance her skills. In 2020, she added BodyPump certification to her repertoire. Recently, Jill discovered a love for running and aims to run a full marathon next year. Denyne Bennett

CYCLE & YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Denyne is a certified 200-hour yoga instructor and a full-time student. As a teacher, she knows that yoga is not a ‘one size fits all’ practice and that every person is on a different path. She offers her students the opportunity to take whatever path they choose to find their peace. She finds immense joy, satisfaction, and inspiration in seeing students discover their personalized practice and hopes to bring a nurturing environment to everyone.

Debbie Best

PERSONAL TRAINER & SILVER SNEAKERS INSTRUCTOR

With over 15 years of personal training experience, Debbie Best is a highly skilled and passionate fitness expert. As a certified functional movement specialist (FMS), Debbie possesses a deep understanding of optimizing movement patterns for enhanced performance and injury prevention.

Debbie has collaborated with physical therapists in the area, supporting patients on their journey to recovery from various injuries. She specializes in working with clients recovering from breast cancer, providing compassionate and empowering fitness guidance throughout their wellness journey. Moreover, Debbie has a strong focus on assisting senior clients with balance, strength, and weight training. Recognizing the specific needs of individuals with osteoporosis and osteopenia, she creates safe and effective exercise regimens to improve bone density, enhance stability, and promote a higher quality of life.

Debbie thrives on helping clients achieve their personal fitness goals and firmly believes that embracing a fitness lifestyle holds the key to unlocking one’s full potential.

 

Jennifer Boyce

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Jennifer is a dedicated yoga instructor who believes that yoga is for every body. With a 300-hour yoga teacher training certification and training as a wellness coach from Duke, she is passionate about making wellness accessible to all. In addition to her yoga practice, Jennifer is a paddleboard instructor and eco tour guide, blending her love for nature with her wellness philosophy. As an international wellness retreat facilitator, she enjoys sharing her knowledge of integrating mind, body, and soul.

Kim Bray

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Kim has been a member of the Greate Bay family for over 14 years! Teaching yoga at GBRF allows her the creative outlet she craves while also granting her the ability to teach different skill levels and styles. Kim is a registered instructor with Yoga Alliance with a designation of E-RYT 2000. Kim loves what she gets to do for a living and can’t wait to practice with you soon!

My name is Lenka Bystrianska. I joined the Greate Bay family in 2022 to share my passion for fitness with our members. I have been a certified group fitness instructor since 2016. I am a huge fan of group fitness because it helped me to improve my strength and endurance. And I love helping others to do the same! Helping members gain strength and power while feeling supported by their team members is what I Love to do!

He’s got lifetime certification from NESTA and is certified from AAAI/ISMA, and he’s also a Bootcamp and Small-Group fitness instructor. But what we love most about Dion is his COMPACT Fitness style and technique that’s perfect for any fitness level!

Mark Cooper

ZUMBA® INSTRUCTOR

My Zumba journey started on April Fools day 2008. After 6 months of pleading from my dear sister, she insisted I try this class, that was the date I finally did and it was love at first dance. ZUMBA. It turned out to be a very unique way of excersize and see people.

After 2 years and countless Zumba classes, I was persuaded, (I really had to be talked in to it!!), to become an instructor. Zumba just happened to be added for the first time to the list of disciplines you could receive every year at the convention in Atlantic City. So on

June 4th 2010, I got my certification. Slightly 3 months later, there was a horrible accident that broke my ankle. The first thing I asked the doc was, “Will I be able to do Zumba again!!??” Once I was back in the swing, I spent my time trying to get as many classes and increasing my knowledge as much as I could. That included going to the annual Zumba Convention (ZinCon) every summer in Orlando. I was also fortunate enough to go to the very first Instuctor Conference in London in 2012. Definitely a highlight.

I developed my favorite style from those instructors that showed a genuine love for Zumba. I also learned that any style can work because there are many tastes. Fast forward to January 2020. Just 2 short months from then pandemic, I was the victim of a hit and run.

Only God knows why I’m still here after that but it NEVER lets me forget how precious and fleeting life is. I’m often in pain during class and definitely when I’m in regular life. But. It’s going to hurt whether I work out or not. And it’s much better to have a workout give you that good pain. If you’ve never tried Zumba you are in for a treat. Always go at your own pace no matter how crazy I may get. I’m looking forward to meeting you all!!!

Sam Hammond

CYCLE INSTRUCTOR

After being a cycle addict in Philadelphia for years, Sam moved to the Jersey Shore and became AAAI/ISMA certified. She has been a cycling instructor for the past seven years. Her classes blend endurance riding, upper body push ups on the handle bar, and free weights on the bike for a total body workout. Powerful music will motivate riders to leave it all on the bike. Sam’s motto is to “go hard today so you feel it tomorrow.”

Come grind and climb with Sam and see what it’s all about! When Sam isn’t on the bike, you can find her walking the Ocean City Bridge or on the beach with a good book.

Jen Nagle

PERSONAL TRAINER & ZUMBA® INSTRUCTOR

Jen is a NASM certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist hailing from Egg Harbor Township. Her training journey began at the early age of 16 when she coached tennis at the Egg Harbor Township Parks and Rec Center, and would continue to do so for 5 more summers. Jen went on to play tennis at club level at Rowan University, where she earned her degree in Psychology. In 2019, she had her first personal trainer, which inspired her to be on as well after falling in love with strength training. She has since been a personal trainer at The Edge Fitness Club in Delran, AtlantiCare Life Center in Egg Harbor Township, and Retro Fitness in Tuckerton.

Jen believes in the importance of consistency in one’s fitness journey, and strives to mentor clients on integrating health and fitness into each and every one of their unique lifestyles so good habits stay with them! Jen is ready to help you succeed at Greate Bay!
